Curriculum Information

New in 2021: The Government has now made the Relationships, Health
(and Sex Education from Key Stage 3 onwards) Curriculums statutory.
Please scroll down to find a link to the area where we have set out how
we plan to deliver this at our school and how parents can take part in the
consultation process.

Our Lady of Victories Curriculum Book

In our Curriculum Book you can find out exactly what is covered
in the entire curriculum, in each subject area, across all of the key stages.
Each subject area includes a statement for the planned Intent, Implementation
and Impact for the subject.

We provide an education which is rich and varied, placing a strong emphasis on high
academic achievement, based on the English National Curriculum. This covers English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, History and Geography, Music, Physical Education,
Art, Design and Technology. We also teach Religious Education and Personal,
Social and Health Education, which includes Relationships Education.
Pupils in Key Stage 2 learn a Modern Foreign Language (French).

Children in Reception follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and work towards achieving the Early Learning Goals. The EYFS curriculum has two areas of
development: the Prime Areas of Learning and the Specific Areas of Learning.
The Prime Areas include: Personal, Social and Emotional Development,
Communication and Language, Physical Development. The Specific areas include Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design.

The Curriculum provided at Our Lady of Victories encourages every child at every stage of their  learning to develop their individual talents and particular abilities. You can find out the specific curriculum content for each year group and the National Curriculum requirements for Mathematics and English on the class pages.
