Last week Year 5 had a great day exploring Kew Gardens. They were able to see and study a variety of plants found in the Amazon Rainforest!

Soluble or Insoluble? (16 images)
In the Autumn term Year 5 studied properties of materials. During this lesson the children were experimenting with soluble materials and insoluble materials.

Year 5 Multi-sports (4 images)
Last week year 5 has a blast at the borough multi-sports day. They played basketball, football, table tennis, handball and hockey! It was a great chance for the children to play a range of games they may not normally be involved in.

Today Year 5 visited the Wonderlab at London Science museum! They explored a range of scientific areas but focussed on our current topic, materials. We had a wonderful day filled with fantastic activities!

Trip to the Ragged school (19 images)
Year 5 had a fantastic day taking on the role of real Victorian children. They were taught by a real Victorian teacher in a real Victorian School! They also had the opportunity to explore what a poorer families house would have looked like in the Victorian times.
