Volcano! (9 images)
Leonardo made a volcano at home and he and his Mum brought it into to school so we could all watch the explosion. We used vinegar and bi carbonate soda with some red food colouring. It was quite exciting to watch it bubble and froth out of the top of the volcano.

How does my brain work? (10 images)
The first part of our MindUp program is to learn how our brain works. The nursery children have been looking at the different parts of our brain that help us to think, feel and remember. We made salt dough models of the brain and painted them. You can see them on display in the classroom. We have also participated in mindful seeing and smelling sessions. By focusing the senses, the children will be able to sharpen their attention to detail and enhance memory, problem solving and creativity.
