Forgotten Fireworks (22 images)
Back in November last year, the children created fireworks using beads and pipe cleaners. They were encouraged to take a photo of their creation. I have just discovered these photos hidden away on the camera which had probably not been charged since. Some of the photos provide a unique perspective of our classroom and friends. I hope you enjoy them.

Wildlife Explorers! (37 images)
The Nursery had a fantastic trip to the Natural History Museum. We explored the Cocoon. Inside there was lots of insects and other minibeasts to learn about. Then we went on a Wildlife Explorers workshop in the Wildlife Garden. We saw, heard and even smelled lots of interesting plants and animals. It was a lovely sunshiny day and we ate our picnic lunch on the steps before walking back to school.

Animal Magic! (58 images)
What an amazing morning we had! The children were super excited to meet all the animals and hear about what they eat and where they are from. Everyone enjoyed touching and feeling the snake and hedgehogs. The rabbits were so soft! And the meercat loved the sun almost as much as we all do.

Volcano! (9 images)

How does my brain work? (10 images)
The first part of our MindUp program is to learn how our brain works. The nursery children have been looking at the different parts of our brain that help us to think, feel and remember. We made salt dough models of the brain and painted them. You can see them on display in the classroom. We have also participated in mindful seeing and smelling sessions. By focusing the senses, the children will be able to sharpen their attention to detail and enhance memory, problem solving and creativity.
